ABOUT
FATCHOY'S FAMILY
Fat Choy was created by Ali Haji, a man known for building beautiful spaces and, apparently, very serious cravings. What started as an appetite for Pan-Asian food became a restaurant full of flavour, warmth and tables that somehow always need just one more dish.

Fat Choy opened its doors in Kharadi, Pune in 2025, bringing together bold Chinese flavours, Pan-Asian comfort food and a little bit of good fortune. Backed by Ali Haji, founder of Amado Collective, and created with his sisters Asiyeh and Amineh, the restaurant is rooted in family, Chinese heritage and the simple belief that the best meals usually involve sharing, ordering too much and pretending you won’t need dessert.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Food that brings people closer
Fat Choy is built around the idea that Asian food is best enjoyed together. Dim sum, sushi, noodles, mains, small plates, big plates, the menu is designed for sharing, passing around, ordering too much and making a meal feel social.
有為転変は世の習い

Flavour first, fuss last
We believe good food should have personality. Bold flavours, comforting textures, familiar cravings and a few surprises, without making the experience feel intimidating, overly formal or precious.
初心忘るべからず

Hospitality with warmth and character
Backed by Ali Haji’s eye for spaces and detail, Fat Choy is about more than what is on the plate. It is about creating a room people want to return to, lively, generous, design-aware and full of good energy.
